How does $700 sound for a '96 KA24DE ported and polished (145,000 on the Cluster), hot shot headers, 5 speed trans, ECU, and full harnness? I just wanted to know if its really a good deal to jump on or if thats just the average price and wait on it? I know the average price for the ka is around 300-400. But since this is ported and polished I thought i guess it would save me the time of getting it done to my motor.
Thanks in advanced.

Thats an OK price IMO... I would try and go a little lower, $500 would be nice...

porting and polishing is easy... u kinda dont need to do it to a dohc tho, the head already flows really good... id say its an okay buy for the extra parts...

$700 with nearly 150,000 miles on it = Fuck that shit.
That engine is gonna go R.I.P. real soon unless the the previous owner has performed some diligent maintenance.
For that money, maybe a little more, you could get a used KA and rebuild it and have a fresh motor.
Then again, the only engine work I ever did to my KA amounted to me yanking the son of a bitch and tossing it. So what do I know?
Good Luck!
