I have tried and tried and tried again to bleed the brakes on my 300zx front brake upgrade and i cannot get them to work. I have gone through enough fluid for there to be absolutely no air in the line. When you step on the pedal once the rear brakes will not spin at all but the fronts you can spin by hand. Now anytime I let off the brake there is a hissing sound comming from my master cylinder. It sounds like it is comming form the lid so hopefully no concern. Any Ideas. Bad brake booster? I have upgraded to a 300zx master cylinder. Oh yea when the car is on the pedal feels almost dead but the brakes do get a little more response. You can still however turn the front rotors. Im lost. Please help! Thanks.

Did you put the front calipers on the right side?

The bleeder is supposed to be on top, most of the time when people have had a problem, they have put the calipers on the opposite sides, and the bleeder is on the bottom, making good bleeding impossible.

First of all, a bad brake booster would give you an extremely hard pedal. Sounds like you've got a bad MC, or quite possibly you put the calipers on backwards.

Happens alot.....the bleeder screw belongs on the TOP of the caliper when you install. If it's on the bottom then you have the calipers reversed - R on L, L on R.

lol. think of it this way. air rises. if you want to get the air out, the bleeder screw should be at the top.
