I just put in a welded diff for drift and track and i took it to the mountains and understeered hella.... and crashed the right rear. Now I am thinking about fixing the rear and selling it to buy an 86. My friends all tell me it'd be a bad decision, but i kinda really like the 86 as well, just never drove/worked on one.
So here I am, asking my beloved Zilvia members their take on my confliction

86's take wayyyyyyyyyy more skill to skill to drive. So, you can't even drive an s13 ( in which taking it to the mountains was soooo not the smartest thing you could have done) and you want to advance to something that takes tons of practice? Learn how to drive first, then upgrade parts to those that are needed for drifting. Keep it on the track, when you wreck, it isn't as detrimental, to either YOU or that other person that you MAY run into....:loco:

If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly

Have someone give you a ride in an 86 and see for yourself. I personally keep both but if I had only one to chose, I'd take the S13. And listen to the advice given before - learn how to drive in a safe environment first before looking for Takumi on the touge.

i had a 86 before and i think 240sx is way better, strong aftermarket part support, more torque and easy to work with. you must realized 86 is a car with 21 years old car.

If the s13 with the messed up rear is still driveable then keep it and as mentioned practiced in a safe environment and brush up on your skills... I don't know much about 86's but I know the s-chassis has a lot more aftermarket support and are a lot easier to drive... Just keep the s13 and keep practicing...
Oh and LOL at what ManoNegra said "...learn how to drive in a safe environment first before looking for Takumi on the touge." HILARIOUS
Good luck and let us know what you do...
