Bad Day

Very Bad Day. This is what happens when you get slammed off the road by a large pissed off truck. This happened yesterday, at around 720 AM to my dad. He is ok, maybe a concusion.

Here is the e-mail from my dad.
All,
Here is a little picture of what’s left of my car after five or six flips/rolls yesterday AM – you can’t see it from this view, but the whole front of the car is missing from coming off of the 15 foot embankment spiraling nose first at about 55-60 mph.
All I can say is that Nissan builds a great car! Three air bags deployed around me as the driver, I waited out all of the impacts, then I crawled out the top (passenger window) and walked away. The police were unable to locate the pick-up driver who forced me off of the road and fled the scene.
I was a little woozy when I came in yesterday, but with a little medication, I feel better today and we are pressing forward to provide the best content and showing at all of our significant opportunities next week!

I heard you can use 350 seats in the 240, also the brakes.. does anybody know if modification is needed for the seats and maybe a link to a write up on these.
Also if anybody has a hookup with a rim repair shop i just need one fixed and i get to have them!

the seats need the brackets adjusted and they sit high. Glad your pops is ok

Holy shit, I am sorry to hear about this man. I was involved in a hit and run yesterday (which totaled my 240sx), but it wasn't this bad. I hope eveything gets worked-out and the bro-juice loving mother-trucker gets his.

Werd to kndacomplx, seats need a lot of modification to bolt in and they really sit super high. I'm 5'2 and if I were any taller I would definitely not want these in my car.

Jesus - your dad is a lucky man to walk away from that. But yeah, Nissan does build solid cars. Same thing happened to me in my old car, except I rolled down even further. Walked away with just a few stitches and a headache.

Obviously you can tell the main airbag and side/curtain airbags were serious factors in helping you pops escape further injury. Seems like the car did a form of endo at one-point or another. Damn I feel even more comfortable at the thought of getting a 350z. Now that you can see what a true out-of-the-lab wreck does to the structure of the car.

damn that really is a huge testament to the engineering of that car. the A pillars and the roof line of the car didnt move one bit. body panels were able to take all the brute force.
