Didn't mean to come down on you so cynically. Just tired of hearing ignorant high schoolers saying "Hey dude is that a Silvia?" or "When you gonna do the SR swap in that Silvia?" to my fastback. And then they get all disappointed when they hear its not FiXeD uP with a stock engine. When people dont know what a Silvia or a 180sx or a 240sx or a SR or a KA is and use the terms, I dont like carrying 240sx-related conversations with them. I'm honestly just informing you in case you didnt know....dont want you to become some ignorant kid trying to sound cool with terms he doesnt know and all. Just sometimes annoys me that my car is misrepresented and popular for something it's not.

If you wanna call your car Silvia, I cant argue against that; its your car after all. If its a S13 coupe with fixed lights, its as good as Silvia in my book. hah. no it isnt. i usually just call my car s13. by chasis codes. but then i wanna be all inclusive! hehe. anyhow. i have a boro as hell '90 s13. and yes i know the various engine, body, and chasis meanings and such. this isnt my first "240sx" either. im maybe too farmiliar with the differences =b

If you see a black S14 with a blue trunk/spoiler and hood  with silvia badges... That would be me (I never took the badge off since the hood/trunk was off a silvia).

If you see a Green S14 with some NIICE 18" wheels, that would  be Chris Ngo. He runs speedalliance.com

If you see a white S13 with a cut out bumper (and underneath lurks an intercooler). that would be Dennis's car.

We all go to SDSU. I park in PS6 most of the time.

Hello,

Well, I would love to gather the 240 guys here in San Diego to do events like the Autocross at Qualcom and Carlsbad Raceway for the quarter mile. I currently attend gathering with the Z32 guys as I own one myself.

I don't have 240 yet as I am looking for one. I just want to brush up on more knowledge of the car.

Any 240 drivers go to UC San Diego?

So far, ive seen 2 S13's here (greyish/bluish one with a LOUD ASS exhaust, and red 89-90 one) and one really nice 97-98 S14 (saw it like 5 min ago walking back to my dorm) with body kit, intercooler?, Silvia badging, big aftermarket spoiler, and really low to the ground. cloudpicker, it's me, phuong.  hey we're going to the stadium on the 20th, right?  cause i'm gonna request that day off.  you should be able to go since you don't have a job.  haha.  anyway, there are many 240 owners here in san diego.  i'm 10 to 15 minutes from sdsu as well.  we all could meet at the stadium on the 20th, or we could roll together to the del mar import show.  the mossy nissan show was ok.  it would've been better if we could get those other 240's on the curb to be in the show.  they were nice, especially when the maroon one showed up.  blowing off as he arrived.  i've seen him around mission valley, too.  very nice.  hey grumpy, you've got the nicest s13 i've seen.  awesome!!!

just 2 days ago I bought a 1993 240sx. The thing is so beautiful...Its got power (the only thing i have to compare it to is a 1998 saturn), So ofcourse I think this thing has power.

it's been raining for the past couple of days.  most likely it'll rain through sunday as well.  for all you guys in san diego, this is a good opportunity to learn more about your car in wet conditions.  so go down there and register!  it'll be fun and besides, you could learn how to "lose control" and they can't say anything about it.  take advantage of this wet condition.  i'll be there for sure.

i live in the spring valley area (by the Big K mart and Albertsons) If you see a black 97 with the stock 8 split spoke wheels, silvia emblems, and a scraped front bumper, thats me.
I usually go to qualcomm every friday (havent raced yet though) . we should all meet up there and have a BB-Q or something. most of the time when i talk to people about 240's...let alone silvias, they're like "what kinda car is that." Ya, I actually live like 1 min walking distance from grossmont college, i dont attend there though.  Having a meet up or BBQ sounds good.  I dont have a 240 yet but im in the process of getting one.  Im thinking about getting a 91-94 coupe is this a good choice or would a HB be a better choice.  I'd be planning on doing a sr swap into it.

My locker is right near there.  I've got 1-6 and i always see your 240 out there after school, so you probally have 2-7 or whatever.  what are you planning to do to your car next?  Im still saving up for my 240. not sure if i should get the coupe or HB, or s13 or s14.  Its all about how much my parents are gonna help me out with paying for it.  I'll keep it stock for awhile maybe get wheels or something, wile i save up for an swap.

Ya i've got 2-7. Im getting a cat-back exhaust next...HKS Hiper. I should have it by the end of this month. I've also been thinking about getting the parts together for the 5-speed swap. I dunno though, theres a lot of stuff i wanna do with my car. Its cool though cuz both my parents like my car and they think its exciting when i get parts for it. So they help me out sometimes with parts, but i have to keep my gradeds up.Its funny, my mom is actually really into it. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

my next mods will most likely be in this order though:

a) exhaust
b) rims/tires
c) H&R springs and KYB AGX's

I didnt know it was automatic.  How much is it going to cost to switch it over to 5-speed?  My parents are the exact opisit. atleast my mom.  She wants to get me an old grandma car.  Shes crazy when it comes to teens and driving.  My brother is talking to her for me though.  my brother has an 01 sentra se that was all fixed up, But hes getting a 240 now.

No, I live in Mira Mesa, and drive to Temecula. Same damn distance, but still long. Not 167, but close. I have a few lines out on trannies, so as soon as I get that taken care of, meets would be killer. I'm looking at having Sinful Enhancements do a strawberry face conversion after the transplant. Hey Guys ( and gals?) - Just moved here from Chicago,  thought I would introduce myself.
I live in Mira Mesa as well- and yeah, it is nice to see 240's rollin in the midst of all those ricey hondas/acuras there.

Count me in on the mini meet- I'm interested in getting together and shooting the sh!t with everyone. Lets do it.
Anything I can do to help get it together- holler at me.

Hey vapor_skank  I work for Mckinney Motorsports,  Velocity is the car club I am in.

OK,  lets set up the meet for 12/21.  Is this cool with everyone.

We'll plan for it being at the shop starting around 10am.  If any changes come up I will let everyone know.

For directions please go to the web page,  there is a map there.

Also,  I need to know how many people are coming,  so that I let the other shops next to mine know about it and stuff so that they do not get mad.

By the way- Anyone know of a grey S13 in Mira Mesa that has jdm tail lights, an exhaust, its lowered with grey rims? I don't have specifics because I haven't seen it up close, just driving by, but it looks great. I just saw it again today at Auto Zone.

ahhhh fellow 240SD guys (gals?)... where are all of you? sometimes i see a 240 here and there... i live all the way up in escondido. and my RPS13 hasnt been around for about a year. blew the engine and it sat there and got broken into. rebuilding it now. should be running before new years. hopefully i can get it to mckinneys meet. i also drive my ae86 from esco to coronado and back every day. there is a nice s14 on the base. red with primered kouki s14 face. anyway, my car is gold with a black primered fender, eibach sportlines  and 17 inch velox novas. if you remember it, yeah its slow. intake/exhaust on stock KA.

hmmm i skipped form page one to page four of this thread so if i missed something... oops. anyway, i'll try keeping in touch with you guys and i meant to go to that 240 meet at mossy since thats right by my old house in oceanside, but i had duty that day. my buddy alan with the turbo altima (automatic) showed up and was diggin the rb25 powered 240. wish i coulda brought my ride. ohwell, maybe next year.

well lets keep this thread going and the idea someone had about making a SD chapter of 240sx club sounds good. take care!

haven't seen that one, but have u seen a white s13 hatch with stock alloys, JDM 180sx '96 or so tails with an exhaust im sure?  I tried to say whats up, but he was on his phone....
