Other than the rear cover, are all the pumpkins the same?...
More specifically, I'm wondering if a complete S15 pumpkin will bolt into my S13 using JDM axles, S13 rear cover, and the stock driveshaft...

I believe that the S14 pumpkin obviously has a different rear cover (2 bolts instead of the 4 bolts for the S13) and that the 2 bolts up front (where it meets the driveshaft) are shorter? I'm not to sure about that...can anyone clarify that?
S13 - solid front mounts, 4 studs in the rear cover.
S14/S15/Z32/J30 - rubber front mounts rear cover has 2 studs
there are 2 versions of them as well.
Shorter one that is non-abs and longer one that has ABS sensor in front of the 2 front mounting points.
to confuse people more Z32na diff has abs sensors located on the output shafts, so even tho it is ABS, its shorter than say S14ABS pumpkin.
So to answer your question, there are 4 types, shot abs, shot non-abs, long abs, and long non-abs.
Will S15 bolt in - as long as you got the correct driveshaft it will.
Hope this all makes sense.

^ beat me to it
The bolts for the carrier are different. One of them have a large bushing inserts while the other one just has bolts. I forgot which one, but you can still use the s14 on a s13 and visa versa. I have yet to play with a s15 diff yet.

So if I have S13 Non ABS diff, I can bolt up an S14 diff, just gotta use my cover and front bolts that I have, not the bushing type bolts....gotcha :bigok:

either sticker, or spin the axels....if its an open diff, the other axel will spin the other way

Also remember the difference with the driveshaft length and pumpkin size that the earlier post talked about.
S13 with a non abs setup and drive shaft wont match up with a s14 pumpkin from an S14 abs car. So just because you switch the cover doesnt mean it will bolt on.
