Just so you guys all know, there is no free replacement if your electronic seat belts break on S13's. They had warantee's for those that lasted 120 months and by elimination, no S13's qualify for this anymore. I just thought I would post this because while searching I came across some posts that said that any Nissan dealer will fix this for free. This is not the case as I found out today when I called my local dealer, was redirected to Nissan North America, and then told by someone there. All the more reason to switch to manuals now...

yup expired in 2004 for the last of the s13's
i think it depends on the car. i worked at a dealer end of 06 into 07 and pulled the vin status on my 89 s13 and my seatbelts are warranted for life. i even had a recall on the buckles that was still valid.

Good reason to go manual if they fail on you. I picked up a set of manual belts in the 'yard for $15 a pair.

Eh, I switched to the manual belts a long time ago.
If I ever get another S13, it's getting the same treatment.
I absolutely hate auto seatbelts. The only good thing they do, is provide a minimal insurance break through some insurance companies.

I had both of mine replaced in July 2006 for free, so I think that the 10 year warranty thing is not true.

lol with the automatic seatbelts if you stick your head out the window and open the door you get choked FTL. 180sx seatbelts FTW:

My friend got his replaced 2 months ago, at walnut creek or concord nissan forgot which one exactly. They said they would replace them as long as its a mechanical failure, if you have modified anything on the door like speakers, automatic door unlocking and other stupid shit that wouldnt really cause a problem unless your a complete idoit. You could talk your way out of aftermarket speakers buy telling them a professional shop did it.
Also if your car is salvaged title they assume its been in a crash and they wont fix it.
Hope this helps

I have a set of auto belts from my car up for grabs for the price of shipping. I switched to B14 manual belts last month.

i think depends on the dealership u go to. i just went to our local nissan dealership and asked them about the lifetime warranty. service manager told me just call him up and we will arrange a day i can drop in my car to get it fix and it will cost me nothing.
