ok... let me clarify what i have. i have a 1992 240sx Coupe and i removed the differential wanting to install a Friction Type LSD from JGY Customs. it is a little more involved than i was hoping for and i am looking for a S14 SE differential instead.

i would like 300.00 total for BOTH, i repeat BOTH, the Differential and the Friction Type LSD. i am also wanting 25.00 for shipping + 3.5% paypal fee. now, the odd shipping is because i am willing to pay half the shipping costs in order to sell this. i would also be willing to trade for a S14 differential and top case for the 2 parts. i am willing to work out something about 90% of the time. so a best offer or trade will be good to.

UPDATE: i am willing to part it, if you want JUST the LSD that would be 200 Shipped + 3.5% paypal fee. still cheaper than getting it from JGY.

PICS!!

evil - i am hoping to have the chance tomorrow to take some pics off the cell phone and get them on here somehow.

i will go ahead and say that if u do decide to buy this, i will have to buy the S14 Differential and swap out the top parts so it will fit. besides that, that is the only drawback. u would have a S14 top and need the S13 one.

i am not sure whats involved. i have the installation instructions emailed by JGY, only like 5 steps, but it isn't as descriptive as it could be. i guess if ur a tranny mechanic, then u don't need as many directions. so, it is too much for my mechanical skills. sure, i can get the differential out and open the case now, but now im stuck...lol

in a nutshell, its tearing apart the differential and putting the lsd in and putting everything back together, which i heard is time consuming.

dont understand how that works??? is it a hard locking diff?? sorry for the noob questions. lol

it uses friction between the left and right axle to keep them spinning together. http://jgycustoms.com/240sx/clutch.htm

there is the link and it has the picture of what it is suppose to look like.

i thought bumping was fine as long as it wasn't like every day...it was like 2 days since the last one... but this will be the last time i post in here...

if anyone is interested, PM me, IM me..

i am not entirely sure. all i know is that it uses friction and not sure if it locks all the time or not.

if u were wanting to trade, is the S14 off of an SE with the LSD? and would u be willing to have the S13 Diff with the S14 Top Case? cuz for a trade, i would have to get urs first and swap them out and then ship it out.

what dont you understand about

Do not Bump your topic more then twice, please only bump your item when your it’s at the bottom or off the page. Any items bumped more then two times will be closed. If you need to bump it more then this, then revaluate your item being sold and post it again.

i'm not trying to be a dick, i just dont want to see your thread get locked. good luck with the sale!

i mean, i am not bumping it up every day... 2 weeks went by and i didn't touch it. so i can not bump a thread and have my name show up two times in a row even though weeks went by? i would not call what i am doing excessive bumps. every time i would bump, i would change the first post to something different...there are new members every day and i don't want to deprive them of this great deal...haha..

I got a J30 VLSD for sale actually two of them but one is pending sale, if your interested I could probably do $295 shipped but gimme ur zip and i coudl tell you for sure.

Heres a pic:

It also appears what you have must be installed into a open diffrential and not a VLSD

" For reference, our '93 Super Hicas 240sx came stock with an LSD. The LSD gradually worked less and less. We now have the JGY in it and it's great. The install takes about 2-3 hours."

That is contradicting of teh picture above ion JGY website or he just isn;t stating that he swap in a open diff with the LSD friction thingy.

i went ahead and already bought a differential with axles.

u mean to tell me i have to have HICAS in order for this piece to work?
i haven't installed anything at all... it is 2 different pieces. i think/thought that this would work on an open differential...

no no no, everything I wrote suggested that you most likely have to use a open diffrential not a VLSD.

oooh okay... whew...lol

yeah, u wouldn't want this if u already had vlsd...
