the steering column is a huge pain, but Ive taken one out and put one in without dropping it so..
there are like 2 screw in the top, under the little defroster vent.. (be really careful with this, after sitting in the sun for so long.. it tends to crack easily..) there is one on both sides, on the bottom, near the kick panels, and one on either side of the center console.. thats all I can remember right now..

youll have to take off the radio trim, the a/c trim, shifter boot/trim, the light switch and the window wiper switch on the steering wheel column, kick panels, remove the a/c controller, radio etc..

hope this helps some. more ??.. just ask

This is a Tech Question.

That's why it is now in Tech, not Chat.

^^^I took an s13 dash out before and there was no need to drop the steering column. the steering wheel got in the way a little but managed to take it out...

just lower the wheel position to the lowest setting. There is 3 bolts at the top under the defrost vents by the windshield, holding most of the dash.

And every thing else said above^^^ taking the center console out would make it easier

dropping the steering column would make it easier, it just take 2 12mm bolts iirc
