Okay guys, posting this up for a freind.
Just installed S13 Blacktop SR, heres what we know.
Clutch lines have been bled.
Cluch Master Cylinder is operational
Clutch Slave Cylinder is operational.
When car is idleing in neutral, the shifter moves freely through all 5 gears and Reverse.
All wheels are off the ground, ebrake is up and rear wheels spin when pushed.
Problem:
CAR RUNNING: Put clutch in->Put shifter in any gear->Let Clutch out=Driveshaft does not spin.
CAR NOT RUNNING: Shifter moves freely and there is a slight resistance when putting car in any gear.
What is your guy's input on this situation? I'm suggesting removing transmission and doing a bellhousing inspection of all clutch related parts. I'm not so sure the clutch itself is bad because my expirence with bad clutches is that it will still grab a gear. I'm kind of leaning towards pressure plate, but even then: the slave cylinder returns to its static position by being pressed back by the pressure plate.
I appreciate your guy's inputs, my buddy is rather frustrated and doesnt want to undertake a tranny pull right away without some insight as to what it might be...
