could u give the links to the pics? all i see is a notice that says:

"You have attempted to access an image that belongs to CarAndModel."

the car ur describing is reminding me of McKinney Motorsport's Sil-line w/ RB25DET. friggin Overboob.com says that it's a RB26DET. that's right, RB26DET!

Ya when I saw the engine bay I scratched my head, then I remebered what the RB25 look liked then I saw the I6, then i enlarged it and saw the RB25 part.

For those who haven't figured out how to see the pics, like most stupif greedy sites you have to copy and paste the link in a new window to get around the stupid blocking things. That trick works for nearly every site, like geoshittie, and imagestation, and agleflamer .

The car is very nice, but I'm a fan of the S-14.

P.S. Wait untill next month. The motor gets worked over.... hehehehehe then comes the dyno runs and drift events....... can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what motor is that???? is that the rb25?

did you have to push back the firewall? or extend the fender?

AKADriver
09-04-2002, 01:04 PM
The RB-series engines fit, length-wise. unstable-hybrids didn't have to extend anything to fit their RB20, and I've seen an article from an aussie mag that dropped an RB20 into a Silvia.

The RB25 might be taller, but it's not longer.

but i love the front bumper. -i wonder why?-

Def a sweet ride. I saw it at the convention. I wouldnt mind dropping an RB25 in my S14 or even an S13 someday....

I don't care for the color either, but if it was hot pink with green underglows and FnF stickers on the side, I would still drive it .

Grumpy: What have you done to the motor so far, and what numbers (hp, e.t.) do you think you have right now, ballpark figure.

grumpy, ur really gonna drift that car? i just assumed that the "SDWAYS" license plate, was just for a JDM touch. isn't the car front heavy now?

also, u drove ALL the way to san mateo to put it in HIN? i suggest paintin it a ricey color so that u'll fit in with the crowd.

Grumpy

KiDyNomiTe the motor is stock right now. It comes 250hp from the factory, so i guess somewhere around there. I will be adding a larger turbo, Greddy Intake, Q45 trottle body. cams, larger head gasket, and a Akimoto computer in the next few weeks. I'll get Dyno number then. I want to stay under 400hp because I will be using this car for drifting and canyon running.

(Why build a car if your not going to drive it hard. Trailer queens suck ass!!!!

kurissuS13, yep! Going to take the car drifting and to all the course events. I took the car up to HIN by trailer. Dam that drive was long!!!!! Too long to drive the car. 8 1/2 hours!!!!

The car is not front heavy at all!!! I have the same springs and shocks in it when it had the SR and no height change or feel. The ar feels better with the RB then the SR.

I know, I hate all the Rice stuff at the shows. The only reason I go is because I do own a shop and this helps to promote the shop and our work.

kickertu the motor fit right in. No need to move the firewall or anything like that. We are currently going to sell a RB kit for customers that want to to the swap. If they can't come to our shop we will supply the mounts and the wire harness change over.

Sorry I didn't get back to you guys sooner. I took the day off of my day job to finish up a S15 conversion for a customer.

Thanx,
Grumpy

Dammit Grumpy!!! I was all ready to get my silly SR and now your making me want an RB! damn you! Any word on when your putting out this kit, how much it will cost, etc?

Grumpy
09-06-2002, 02:28 PM
I should have the kit avalible soon. (A couple of weeks) The kit will come with custom Motor/Tranny mounts, Driveshaft, and we will modify your RB harness for your car.

The only thing you will have to do is get intercooler piping made. Or if you are close to us we can make the piping any style you want. I will also be stocking upgrades for the motor and ECU tuning soon. I am going to test everything out on my car first. That way I know it works and will have numbers to prove it.

Is there any way you can make a kit so that the RB will fit in a S-14?

I wouldn't mind having a RB25 sitting in my S-14.

Has this even been done before?....you know RB25DET or RB26DETT in a S-14.

Lots of Silvias at that show.
I am too lazy to post both links for small and large so here are the small links, click the pic to get a bigger pic.

O ya before someone bitches, if I said Sivlia that necessarily doesn't mean its the JDM Silvia, but just describing the headlights and I am too lazy to put silvia front end conversion, and pkus I don't know if it is a real silvia or not, wasn't there.
