Up for sale is my RB25 Turbo. Was going to go KA-T but decided that I'm going to go SR. Located in the city of Paramount but can meet up somewhere or deliver, depending on how far you are from Paramount (90723). It's in great condition with extremely minimal shaft play. This is the information that Dave (Drift Freaq) gave me on the turbo.
Ok this is a RB25 Turbo in very good condition Ceramic Ball bearing. spools instantly! T3 flange so it can go on KAT manifolds . This actually would be a excellent turbo for a KAT setup as its designed to deliver 250hp at 7 lbs on a 2.5 liter engine which makes it quite efficient for a KA. At 11lbs you could be putting out around 268-270whp.
Jose, it is indeed a T3 hybrid. The GTR came with a pair of small T25's and its possible the R34 GTR came with a pair of small T28's. Though the 25 came with this T3 hybrid. The RB25 NEO engine did come with a slightly different turbo though it was still based off this T3 flanged design. Yes its a hybrid and yes its T3 flanged. Though by its characteristics and design it is not a T28. Series I and II RB25's had the same T3 hybrid. The Neo had a different T3 Hybrid.
This info I found online:
Nissan/Garrett RB25DET (T3 style)
The Garrett T3-based turbocharger from Nissan’s RB25DET engine is one of the biggest OE Japanese turbos you can buy. They’re also relatively easy to find because they’re factory fitment to the ever-popular R33 Skyline GTS25T. One of the biggest attractions of this turbo is its sophisticated design – it uses a water-cooled core with a roller bearing, ceramic turbine and lightweight compressor. These factors contribute to a very fast spool-up time. In standard form, the RB25DET engine generates 187kW and we have seen the standard turbo pushed to around 250kW in some applications.
The RB25DET turbocharger employs a 60mm compressor inlet and a 38mm discharge nozzle. The compressor housing is identified with a 0.40 A/R. On the exhaust side, the turbine inlet passage is 65 x 45mm and the mounting flange measures 110 x 70mm. The turbo connects to the exhaust manifold with 4 bolts and the dump pipe is attached by 6 bolts.
This is a great turbo for any engine making less than 250kW.
