yea i was just wondering for a couple of ball park figures for transmission work...would i be better off just getting a new tranny or say screw it and buy an sr <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'> ...but seriously i want to get this taken care of before anything else happens.

well, you present 3 options with totally different "ballpark figures."
Tranny work, maybe couple hundred. Sounds like syncro's to me.
New tranny, 500+ for a used one (who's to say it wont have worn syncros too...) , install time (if you pay someone to do it)
SR over 1k + install time, troubleshooting, etc.
If you're planning a swap and have the cash, go ahead.
But to spend it on a new tranny is kinda stupid if you can get away cheaper by fixing it or spend a bit more for a swap.

You might want to try Redline MT-90 tranny fluid. It helped with my 300ZX TT tranny woes. Of course, it is only a temporary fix. Sometime down the road, you will need the tranny worked on.
