Well, the other day i went to pick up the Gf's sister and right as i was unlocking my door she tried to open the door. From then on my passenger side door has been stuck shut. I go to unlock it with the key and nothing happens. I use my pwr locks and i hear a slight almost whirring sound coming from the door, the lock moves a little then when the whirring stops the lock goes back to the locked position. I simply cannot get my door open. Any ideas?

Take off door panel and see what's going on

Most likely the arm detached from the locking mechanism

agree, just pop off the panel and take a look, though I suppose that would be difficult if you can't actually open the door. My locks have done that occasionally. just put your key in and slowly try to unlock, then lock, then unlock, back and forth. might want to try it from the inside as well. after a few tries you should feel it loosen up.

it might be a little difficult to take panel out with the door still shut...especially with those damn tabs.

I am having the same issue right now. how hard is it to take off the door panel with the door shut. especially if you cant get to all the screws and tabs because of the dash. I have already kinda popped the top off of the door panel to look inside. everything looks intact. I get the same whirring sound everytime i hit the unlock key. I think the door is stuck in lock mode both the inside and outside latch both are free (lock mode) ...any other suggestions??

I had same problem when some one broke into my car....

remove everything u can to loosen the door panel..

roll down window and push the top corner of the panel as hard and careful as u can..

put a screw driver (a stick LOL) to hold the panel in place now look for the lock assembly

follow the metal lines (dont know name) all the way to were they meet with the latch

those metal lines are connected with plastic clamps that can be remove if you push towards the opened side hard enough

remove the one closest to were the door latch is at and push it..

to figure out how to move it (up,down, left, or right) just notice the movement the lines make when you try to open the door latch..

this is basically wat a slim jim does (actually your pulling on the line incharge of opening the door ).. just becareful not to bend the lines ....

i removed the little motor from the auto locks so now it doesnt unlock with alarm but atleast it opens.... I still have to replace it...

Ps... the noise you hear is probably the auto locks messing up..
