knockoff bride seats and other such shit is sold in the classifieds here all the time, and people don't seem to understand the serious repercussions of using this junk- moreover, some sellers don't even bother to mention that their items are fake, assuming that the super low price should spell it out.
i'm suggesting that from now on, it should be a requirement to put "FAKE" or "REPLICA" in the title thread, and maybe even include a warning in the thread that the seller can cut-and-paste from the selling guidelines. the warning could look like this:
WARNING: knockoff, fake, or "replica" seats, brackets, harnesses, and other safety equipment are not DOT tested, are generally built to far lower quality standards, and could result in SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH due to failure in the event of an accident. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
everybody needs to understand that having a seat that says "BRIDE" isn't worth the risk of being killed in a crash where OEM equipment would have been sufficient.
