I'm thinking about purchasing the 180sx 3pc. rear valance replica from bings.ca, but Bing emailed me back telling me that there are somewhat fitment issues. I understand that they are "replicas" and with most replicas, there will be fitment issues... but my question is:

what kinda fitment issues are we talking about?

If you have any pics of the fitment issues or have any input, it would be greatly appreciated (whether it be from them or any other company that makes the replica 3.pc).

heres the link for those that don't know wtf I'm talking about (scroll down half way):

version select will have those pieces in a couple days, including the center piece, plus some other oem goodness (with some changes) :) fitment will be just like the rest of the vs stuff, can be made to fit really good without too much effort.

Fitment issues with replicas tend to be smaller than the original part. It is caused by bad mold making, and high shrink materials.

thanks for your inputs...

I tried searching th vs site... thought they only made kits, not add on rear lips. If so, do you have any pics?

the lips are not on the site because they have not made it to the US yet, well its somewhere in the US by now, just not at the warehouse yet. The site will be updated sometime next week.

If you want reliable fitment, pick up a pair of our valences from Panda Garage.
Ironically, the molds were being made about the time you started your thread.
Look, i am going to say this to all of you shops making your own parts. Do your homework, and make your molds correctly. Particulary if you are taking a reproduction of an oem part, AND charging a good chunk of change for it. Not slamming any shops, but just do your $hit right or get the hell out of manufacturing. Your parts should bolt right up to the damn car with no body shop work other than a coat of primer. And if you think that they should, then you really need to get out of manufacturing. I normally do not show pics of our molds, but in this case it seems that some people need an education.
These molds are made of SOLID concrete, and weigh about 90lb's each. Why?
Because it is a replica mold for an OEM part. It will never distort or shrink, and my great grandkids will have some great lawn ornaments 100 years from now.
It just pains me to hear about people paying good money for bad parts that do not fit. People should love your parts, and have no problems bolting them up. No reason to get an insane charge from some body shop. Vacuum infusion is the ONLY correct way to reproduce an oem part. Everything else weaksauce.

i believe because these valances sort of flex when you bolt them on. i have oem and they are bendable. fiberglass will not bend so it might be harder to install. a bodyshop should be able to take care of it.

These valences are a exclusive production run we are doing for Panda Garage, they sold out of the first run and we are now doing the second. I think that they are pricing them at $150.00 ish . Contact them to place an order, because they do go kind of fast. It was getting harder for them to locate good used ones in Japan. So they gave us their best pair to make molds.
