i recently changed my motor because i had a blown headgasket

i have a 91 240sx. motor ran strong but blown hg

then i got a 95 ka24de that has good compression was running good before i pulled the motor has under 100k on it.

i rev it up and it moves very slow! and i press the gas twice at upper idle it sounds like its thinking about add fuel like theres not enough.

now i have the motor in and its very slow like its starving for fuel.

i thought it was the cat but changed it still the same. its not the tranny because it happens out of gear too.

the setup is s14 ka24de with upper s14 intake mani with s13 lower mani, w/white bunny clutch and flywheel.

ive changed my exhaust and had it open cat also still slow rev. had it open air filter same thing also. and new plugs in there.

im thinking i might have a clogged filter or weak pump. or maybe i pluged my hoses wrong.

fuel filter goes to the side of the rail with out fpr right?

car idles fine timing is good no check engine. timing is at 15 degrees.i have it at taht so i can smog it.

next thing im going to try to change is my O2, filter to 300zx. and pump to walbro.

what could it be?

ill add to this if i can think of anything
SORRY FOR MY GRAMMAR.

my car runs a lil better.

after putting
more grounds
fuel filter
fuel pump *walbro* loud now haha
and new O2
new neg terminal

i kept messing with timing before those things and it wouldnt get better.

now i think i can mess with the timing. because my fuel filter looked a lil clogged if i were to flip it upside down no fuel would come out.

i just need to put it back to base timing and lower the rpm to 650 with knock sensor off and then put it back and see if it raises back to 700.
rite now it idles at like 900.

btw can some one show me where the screw for idle is?
and does it matter i still have the s14 cams in using a s13 ecu?
should i keep these cams or should i upgrade to s13.
im going turbo after i can get this car to pass smog.

help plz

oh ya, is dohc motor louder then sohc?

i used to have a sohc on my old car and i transfered my old sku hks it to my dohc

its alot louder now. mayb its cause i didnt tighten my exhuast enoungh.

i think its pretty tight but it seems louder now.

it shouldn't be too different as far as loudness.

I'd expect the sohc to be louder since they have rocker arms instead.

adding grounds would really help your car. check where it matters the most.. around the power distribution area (battery, alt, coil, and dizzy)
