I just picked up another ECU. It's for a RPS13 SR20DET redtop. When I opened up ECU it was a little different from my stock ECU. Can someone please explain to me what the second board is for? My orignal ECU did not have a separate board mounted on the main board. Here is the pic of the second board mounted on the main board. They both say 62 and the same numbers. Anyone?

so, it's a good ecu to have then? Someone on another forum says its no good an they want to take it off my hands for what I got it for. HMMM. By the way this hasn't fixed my problem with timing.

just cause it has a daughter board doesnt mean the ECU is reading from it. depending on the position of the jumpers, it may still be reading from the stock rom. on the top of the board there are two jumpers, P1 and P2, if there is solder across p1 then is reading from the stock rom, you have to switch it over in order for it to read off the daughter board.

its called CJ1 and CJ2, if in CJ1 then you are reading the stock rom
