Hey guys,

I have swapped in a ka24de into my 86 nissan 200sx. Its been pretty much a side project as of late. Well I am not getting any spark. I have managed to get the fuel pump to prime using a stock relay, and i get the ecu to turn out via a direct line to the fuse box.

I need to figure out why there is no spark. I believe that i need to set up a relay to get power to the ignition coil. i think i am going to use a bosch relay which looks like this:

http://www.ka-t.org/images/relay.jpg

how would i go about wiring this relay to get the coil to fire? i have a standard ka coil and ignitor chip, and i also have an aftermarket coil. ill use whichever is easier.

Also, i am told that an eccs relay needs to be set up as well. Does anyone know if the eccs relay does anything besides turning the ecu on? i have already accomplished that via the fuse box. If i do still need it, how could i wire that guy up?

Seriously your help is greatly needed and a appreciated.
i can get pics of anything you need.

well if its a normally open relay applying power to 85 and grounding 86 would normally complete the circuit for power to run from 30 to 87

what would be the "trigger" for the ignition coil relay? The relay needs to be triggered by something in order to click it and complete the circuit correct?

for instance...the black/pink wire is the trigger for the fuel pump, i believe red/balck is the trigger for eccs...i dont know what i should use to trigger the coil. does the ecu send a signal to the coil at all or does the ecu only communicate with the distributer?
