73.82

after 3 runs and a little throttle body adjustments, bald tires, full system(JL 15) and back seat full of junk.
i didn't know you wernt soppust to go over the water and spin out=) my first time racing.

i have a SOHC with a 5k rev limiter on each gear

oh well i did meet a freind who can put a 302 in my parts 240 for 1000 and i can get a carb 302 for 250=)
so now i know where my piggy bank is going

5k rev limiter? holy crap. peak horsepower is 5800. ya that'll put a damper on things.

This is a first... Is that rev limiter NORMAL on an SOHC engine? There must be something wrong because this is the first time I hear about this.

I've seen a stock 89' 240sx run 16.29s on the 1/4 and the guy was shifting at the redline.

basemies

my rev limiter is around 6500 or so, and i hit fuel cut just after 115 mph.

Uhh I drive through the Burn-Out box.... You forgot another 2 reasons to drive thru the burn-out box.

1. Your on street tires and FWD... (have to have some form of Drag Radials for your tires to not cool down enough before the, Tree lights up)
2. Your run an AWD... (this is why I drive thru the box)

But for the 1st timer out there, don't be discouraged on your times, your Reaction time is still better then mine and i'm running the same 60' time... but then again, It's been a while since I got a time slip. Might go do that this weekend.

Well the thing was....My s14 is an auto, and I had a 90% full tank of gas when I ran it. I even had intake at the time. I have exhuast now (n1 dual), and when I get my 5spd swap i'm getting a lightened flywheel too so I assume I shouldn't have too much of a problem running 15's.

my auto s14 ran a 16.513 best run - half tank 94 and full interior
i weighed in at a hefty 3100 lbs

r/t .741 (high)
60' 2.47
330 6.981
1/8 10.65
mph 67.08
1000 13.826
1/4 16.513

.500 is a perfect reaction time, it cant go any lower than that, period.

true, anything under .500 is foul

MyFirst240sx .351 or watever is BS..unless he was doing Time Trials becuz in time trails it doesnt matter only im eliminations it matters that anything under .500 is foul

PSI240SX
08-31-2002, 06:40 AM
.351 is not bullshit, I ran a .380 last night. It is a foul (red light) but it's not impossible to get that time. I am sure he was in time trials becuase becuase who would go pay money to race an 18 second car?

MyFirst240SX
08-31-2002, 08:49 AM
well i don't know what to tell ya......my time slip says .351. my freind got a .051.
it was grudge matches, so it was just people testing there cars and bets and stuff.

Potatoskins02
08-31-2002, 10:00 AM
some tracks show reaction times that are over .500 so basically if you had a reaction time of .351 it's really a .851.

MyFirst240SX
08-31-2002, 05:39 PM
why would it do that?
