Quick power sterring question

I was able to drive around the block a few minuets ago :2f2f: but the power steering reservoir was dry, i added fluid and theres a fat leak between the line and pump, the brass gasket seems fine and i removed, inspected, and reinstalled the line but no go. I was thinking liquid gasket but with the fluid, and pressure there might be > solution.

what is your question? I was wondering how to hook the sensor up, the power steerings still not working though, i may have hooked the lines up wrong, if they're not lined up will the fluid not flow? seems like everything hooked up right, theres a leak in one of the front axles...leaking fluid.

i don't believe you need any of those sensors hooked up for the power steering to work. one of them is for the stabalized steering at higher speeds. But the ps is all mechanical in terms of making your steering easier..

hm, could the lines to the pump be offset so the fluid doesn't flow properly?

You dont need any of those connectors, just make sure you have a belt, a pump and all the lines are hooked up and full with fluid.

looks to me like you bent sohc lines to use with a sr.. i did the same thing, but are you sure you didn't pinch a line causing fluid to not flow? just make sure everythings hooked up right and there is fluid.. even with alittle fluid and air in the system it will still turn easier

no liquid gasket.. makesureyou have a brass washer on both sides of the banjo bolt. unless your lines are kinked/blocked it shouldn't leak with those on there and it tightened nice and snug

yeas same thing happen to meet, leaked so much that my screw got loose and it leaked like crazy and blew my pump, now i got a new one. i didnt have both brass washer thats y. dumb me, fix the problem now good to go
