I have an s14 with an sr20 redtop. The car will start but wont run long it floods. The car overheats and when you hit the accelerator it makes a loud po noise followed by a pssh.and car doesnt spool well blow off valve doesnt function you can hear air coming though intake. chop chop chop after you let off accelerator.burned up my ecu bought a new one. Maf is wired correctly.new fuel pump installed.

wow lots of problems hmm..

well i have the same overheating problem as you right now. check your engine coolant temp sensor, water pump, thermostat. make sure you have a good mixture of coolant. try some of that redline water wetter stuff. check wiring for the water temp guage and manually turn the fans on if you can (if using electric fans of course).

For the turbo spooling.. oil the turbo before you run the engine especially if it has been sitting for awhile.. i made that mistake and fubar'd my bearings i think.

Sounds like you are running pig rich. What maf are you using? maybe you need a good tune.

What fans are you using? and how do they kick on? I have altima elctric fans and im using that 50/50 stuff from the gas station. Driving cross country right now and 9 hrs a day driving in 100 degrees and it doesnt overheat. I really think it might be your coolant temp sensor. That would cause it to run rich and anything and it could have burned out and that would cause overheating too if you have your fans hooked up that way.

Sounds like a water temp sensor problem. I would check that first. Once the motor warms up will it restart or do you have to wait for it to cool down?

Your post is way short on details but this sounds to me like a massive vacuum/boost leak. Also make sure you have the right ECU for your engine and and injectors.

How did you burn up your ECU? Did you hook up the battery terminals backwards? If so you also just blew the igniter and are probably only firing on a cylinder or two. Check your spark.
