SIGNATURES:
To accommodate standard-sized banners in the signature, including the use of the Zilvia.net banner and Sloganizer.net banners, we are allowing signatures to be one of two sizes. Current users have a signature limit of 400x200px, which is remaining unchanged. The alternative size is 600x125px.
Once 400px width has been exceeded, 125px high is the limit. Yes, that means an image 401x126 will be deleted.
As a thank you to our Premium members, their choice is 400x200 or 750x125, and again, once 400px wide has been exceeded, 125px high is the cap.
The .GIF or total image size limit remains at 150,000 bytes (150kb) according to the .gif's properties tab.

Good Luck reducing the size of .Gif file.
You can try and make it smaller, that should drop the kb.
but I doubt it.

I am not imagining that there will be a way to lower the file size of an animated .gif without making it so small it is usefully visible or severely bastardzing the quality of it in general.

Google images is always a good start, I turn there for pictures when I have an idea of what I am looking for.
... that and I ride around with my camera and 1.3MP phone in the car with me

yeah that gif you presented has WWWAAAAAYYYY to many frames which add on to the file size, and its already black and white.

I dropped mine from 356kb to what it is currently by reducing the color spectrum on the pallet, doesn't look as pretty(a bit grainy), but works.

Delete frames and play with the duration settings to make it look ok and/or reduce the image size. But getting it to 150 will be tough and again, as been mentioned, it's a good GIF but it's played out.
