I can't get it off to change the shift boot!  Nissan told me they used lock tight on it when they put them on.

any ideas on getting the shift knob off?
thanks

if you dont wanna damage the knob get a rag of some sort. wrap it around. then use a vise grip and turn till the glue breaks. if not skip the towel wrap part.

This has been covered before, and I always say fuck the knob. &nbsp;I cut mine off with a pocketknife. &nbsp;Just be careful not to cut yourself. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>
