MISSION::drift in association with QCMA are proud to annouce we will be holding our first drifting event.
Date: August 18 & 19
Place: Rivers Airbase just outside of Brandon Mb
Cost: $80
Contact: [email protected](Niall) or [email protected](Sean)
Registration: Friday after 5pm, tech inspection done friday as well.
So what we are planning is an entire weekend of drifting at an airport airstrip. We have the entire airfield at our disposal for the weekend. Drifting will start saturday morning and end sunday late afternoon. Everyone is invited out...although it is a hike for some of you i know. We will have place for people to put up tents at the airstrip to allow for lower costs instead of renting a hotel room. Other facilities will also be arranged. Arrival time will be set for anytime after 5pm on friday. We will try to have some sort of food vendor out or we will have BBQ food there all weekend long. Spectators are welcome as well, so bring your friends to cheer you on.
Side note, this is only a practise event, no competition or prizes will be awarded. We are seeing if the interest is enough to hold more events next year with actual competitions on the sundays of the drift weekends.
Regular safety equipment is required...safe cars, helmets, etc. Vehicle must be rwd, entrants must bring a minimum of 1 extra set of wheels and tires. Entrants must have valid driver's licenses. We will be using the WCMA regulations with small changes valid for drift only events. These will be available at the event for anyone to look at. Entrants vehicles must pass technical inspection to be allowed to drift, if vehicle does not pass, entrant will be refunded their money.
If you have any questions, please PM or email myself(Niall) or Sean
