can anyone post some pics for me of KA-T set-ups?  I plan to build up a KA at my house and put it in my S13.
couple quick questions:
1.  any particular year engine i should use?
2.  should i piece together a kit or buy one?(i'm just gonna spend or save money as i get it so which one?)
3.  i've heard the rev-hard manifold cracks, what other options do i have for manifolds?
4.  for those of you who have KA-T's, what have you used and what kind of power have you gotten out of it?

Thanks a lot.

I will have new pics of my car up soon. I have to finish putting the car back together after I get home from Cali.

Well I would recommend starting with a DOHC motor. The year is not so important as long as the motor was well maintained and the compression tests ok.

As far as building the motor goes. I am split on this. There are pro's and cons to building a motor right off the bat. I guess it depends on your experience level and desired HP.

DIY or buy....well that is a question that really depeds on you budget the HP you want to make, the application of the car. Stuff like that. I would say if this is your first aftermarket turbo car. Buy a Kit. If you hae a good deal of experience, you may want to make your own.

Manifolds, there are a few choices. A) Revhard, B) Fmax and C) make your own. I am sure there are one or 2 that I have over looked. The Fmax and the Revhard are both cast iron. So cracking should not be an issue. The main differece between the two, Revhard is tubular and FMAX is log style. Looking at the two manifolds I doubt that there is a great difference in exhaust flow betwene the two. Both XS engineering an Nsport use Revhard manifolds in their kits. Fmax uses their own manifold.

What kind of power can you expect? Well 220 rwhp or so at 7 psi is typical on a t3/t4. The stock motor has been proven over 300 rwhp with a proper fuel and IC setup. If DIYing your results will very due to any one of a number of factors.

Feel free to im or pm me if you have any other questions.

i am also doing a ka24de+t. im using the stock turbo from a mkIII supra its a ct26. this is supposed to make up to 300hp from what my friend said he use to have the same kind of supra but he ended up making around 800 hp on a t88till he blew the damn thing up .but anyways too uuninja my engine has 70k on it its a 96 dohc. is that too many miles to just put the turbo on there and not do internals and how high can i boost it on stock internals? im using a custom made manifold and i have a custom fmic that is about as big as a old school printer  wide at the top and  . what fuel mods should i do and do you know what i need to do with my ecu? thanks a bunch.
