I should pay a little more attention to my gauges I suppose.
I just replaced a radiator that cracked on me the other day. Fill up the new one and go for a test drive, and everythings cool. Turn on my AC and temp starts creeping up and up. Turn off the AC and instantly drops down to normal temp.
Any Ideas? I know its probobly simple. Im just Brain farting

it is possible u could have air in ur radiator. u could try and get all the air out by letting ur car run with the radiator cap off and lett the air bubbles come out. not really sure what else. just advice

How in hell would that affect the A/C? Do us a favor, don't give advice.
Brandon, when the A/C is engaged is the efan coming on? The added load on the engine could be enough to overheat the engine without the added airflow across the radiator from the fan.

I will run out and double check that the electric fan is coming on. I thought I heard it, but who knows.
Its all stock, so there is no reason to upgrade radiators.

Im pretty positive its related to the Thermostat sticking.
I drove it to work this morning and on the interstate, it tried to creep up. So I flipped on/off the AC and it went back down.

So replace the thermostat then...

Sounds like a thermostat, I just took mine out completely.....sucks having to arm up the car sometime, but in the summer it's great.

Don't run without the thermostat. Your engine is made to run most efficiently at the thermostat temperature. It won't run right without it.
See if your fan clutch is still good. Does the AC cool properly when it is on?

That's why I have to warm it up before I drive anywhere, but at least I know that in the Fl heat the thermo will NEVER give out on me and not open up and overheat the car. A few moments at start up is well worth the price of not having an overheating catastrophe for me thats all.
