View Full Version : HELP! CAR WON'T START
Well, not my car but my sisters jeep. I figure this problem would just be general car knowlege. I turn the key and the engine turns over a for a second and then starts to start (where you would normally give it a little gas to get it going) but won't. I give it gas and it doesn't respond to it at all. Any idea what this could be? Gota be somewhere in 45 minuets <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

If it isn't the obvious, it is still likely a fuel related problem. You will want to test and see if you are getting fuel to the engine. Pull off your fuel line just before the crab. or fuel rail. See if any fuel is coming through when you start the jeep. If so, then it is either somewhere between the fuel line and the injectors. If not it could be a fuel filter (hopefully) or your fuel pump. If gas is getting as far as the filter, but not any farther then that would of course be the problem. If it isn't even getting that far, it may likely be the fuel pump, in which case I would start hoping that it was an external pump.
I'm not an expert, but that should help you atleast determine if it is a fuel delivery problem or not.
