View Full Version : anyone here do a 240 ka swap into a hardbody

i know this is a 240/z furom but... i figured i would ask. so i sold my rollin 240 chassis, and i just picked up a hardbody pickup. i will be swappin my built ka24det and trans into my hardbody. now from what i have searched i found i will be needing to swap ecu and wireing harness which i have and i plan on using 240sx gauge cluster and all. but i was told recently that i will be havin a prob with the oil pan..... soo how is that fixed and what else will i be lookin at rpoblem wise thanx

Don't see why not.
Most of the time people just swap an SR in.

it comes with KA
i know it comes with a ka.... its a single cam with tbi setup. different then the 240 and plus i am puttin my built ka24de. but i gotta figure out how to get the 240sx oil pan to work

the blocks are the same so I dont see why you couldn't just use the pan on the DOHC. The difference in the two are the bump where the drain plug goes.

well see the prob i am having now is the 240 ka oil sump is up front and the hardbody is in the rear....so if i use the hardbody pan i need a sump but cant seem to find out if they bolt up to the oil pump the same
