So i get my spoiler and the cash to have it painted/installed along with eliminating the rust on my hatch and some spot treatment on my a piller and my rear driver qp...i get quotes from three diffrent places all wich i have seen thier work and they are all about equal. The one which i get the best price at also happens to be this guy my mom went to highschool with so he hooks our family up tight. So he says for me to take it in on monday and that it shouldnt be a problem or anything....so i take it in and apparently the guy who went to school with my mom is on vacation this week and i get some other guy to take the car, hes all like yea i have the write up inside and i know what needs to be done or whatever. Then as i drive to work i remember that i forget to give them my mounting hardware for the spoiler. So i go by yesterday to drop it off and they havent even touched my car, they werent even planning on doing the work tell friday or monday and its a three day job so they would have it over the weekend...I was fucking pissed, i mean I got a job that i need transpo for and i dont like bumming rides of my parents and they dont like giving them so i was super pissed...now i am just gonna bring it in on monday so they can have it done by next thrusday or friday...shiat.
Anyone else have any horror stories???

Well at least they didnt try to already fix it and like put the spoiler on the roof or hood I know people that have had similar problems. Where most my problems with people servicing my cars is fucking them up. For example when I got my brakes done on my prelude, they went out after like 2 months!!! I was ubber pissed Then I had the same guy do my clutch on the prelude, and it felt really weird, never took my car to him after that. The only thing he ever did right to that car was the starter. Since I've bought the 240, I've found a really nice honest pair of guys that I bring my car to. I also recommend everyone else there, because they offer really good friendly service with really cheap labor prices. They're both pretty cool, very down to earth. So I dont have many problems anymore.

this isnt really my horror story but a friend of mine blew his engine on his RX-7 and borought it to a shop that specializes in rotory engines...anyway while he had it in the shop he decided to get it street ported and changed to stick. that was oh about 7 months ago......the guy hadn't touched the car for 7 months but he finally started working on it a couple of days ago....7 months is a long time to not have a ride....damn...
o well i have never had to take my car to a shop....yet. my brother used to be a mechanic so whenever i have a problem he helps me fix it....7 months can you imagine 7 months....damn

I would start wondering whats up with it after a month and see it myself, hell, I'd go after a week and see whats up... Theres really no point in waiting 7 months to get porting work and tranny swap done...

I guess I'm one of the luckiest guys here...my dad is one of the top Nissan mechanics in the region, so he helps me with my car, and my uncle does auto body and paint.
