That fool was a great wrestler, too bad he didn't quite have the size and personality to be a bigger time name.

Many wrestlers don't age gracefully - I used to be a fan back in the day. Sucks.

this is from wwe.com
It has been ruled that the deaths of Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and their son Daniel earlier today were the result of a double murder-suicide from within the home. WWE.com will have more as soon as it becomes available

Why would you say that, you don't even know what happened. Have you no respect for the dead?

Just read another article that said he was suspected of killing his family and then suicide. wow how sad, RIP

Way to make assumptions and not read. It said it was a HOMICIDE, not a suicide homicide.
to whomever gave me this neg rep: YOURE A FRICKIN IDIOT AND YOURE THE ONE THAT CANT READ, GO BACK TO SCHOOL YOU NEVER SHOULD HAVE DROPPED OUT
the article youre referring to says the police are investigating it AS a homicide, it doesnt say it WAS a homicide. idiot
other articles state it is being investigated as BOTH a homicide and a suicide. idiot again
-and ive got respect for some dead but not to all dead people; stalin killed 20+ million of my people i dont respect him even if hes dead like you must

Dude it's all over the news, it was a
DUAL HOMICIDE single SUICIDE
as in he strangled his wife on friday, and just kicked it in the house or something until SATUR_FUCKIN_DAY then killed his 7 year old boy Then killed himself fucking beautiful, hanged himself from the metal wieght cord on what i think was a Lat Bar cable gym thing in his basement.
CNN, FOX, AP everyone is running the story like that, the DA didnt even use the word alleged it's just accepted.
I just watched the interview with the DA and the lead detective, they did find perscription anabolic steroids in the house and the autopsy confirmed that both wife and son were strangled to death on seperate days. Who does that?
They also said that a bible was placed by each of their bodies, but not by his.
Wife was wrapped in towel.
I think he just had a psychotic fit and lost grip of reality.
very sad

I saw this on Fox News today. Instead of showing Benoit footage, they showed Lex Luger's.
Those idiots
P.S
Sensational Sherri Martel also died recently.

Christopher Michael Benoit (40-year-old professional wrestler - 5'11, 234lbs)
Nancy Elizabeth Daus Sullivan Benoit (43-year old wife, former valet and manager)
Daniel Christopher Benoit (7-year-old son)
Benoit was last seen by WWE personnel at last week's TV tapings.
Benoit was scheduled to wrestle in Beaumont, Texas, but WWE personnel were told he missed the show due to a family member being sick.
The couple's marriage was known to be volatile. Nancy Daus accused Chris of domestic abuse and filed for divorce in May of 2003. She also filed for custody of their son and a protective order was put in place. August of that year the protective order and divorce filing were dismissed. Police were never called to the house for any disturbances, though during in the divorce filing Nancy stated that Chris had broken furniture in the past.
Benoit had two other children who were not at the residence.
Friday, June 22rd, 2007
Nancy was wrapped in a towel, bound at the wrists and ankles and strangled. There was blood under her head. A closed bible was left by body in office.
Saturday, June 23th, 2007
Daniel was strangled (no restraints) in his bed on Saturday. A closed bible was left by his body in his upstairs bedroom. It is unknown if he was awake or asleep when the murder took place.
Saturday, June 23th, 2007 or Sunday, June 24th, 2007
Chris killed himself Saturday evening or early Sunday morning. He hung himself by the cord of a weight machine suspended by pulleys in his basement weight room.
He did not leave a suicide note.
Sunday, June 24th, 2007
Chris no-shows two scheduled matched in Texas (one being WWE's Vengence PPV Event in Houston).
Odd text messages are sent by Benoit to friends, who were unable to reach him.

At 2:30 PM Fayette County, Georgia sheriffs entered the home on a "welfare check" after missing several appointments and discovered the bodies.
"In an interview with ESPN.com on Tuesday, Ballard indicated that the boy had needle marks in his arms. The district attorney said he believed that the boy had been given growth hormones for some time because the family considered him undersized."
guy was a piece of shit.

EVERYONE knows its fake... but still, its a freaking hard to be in sports entertainment. The amount of strength and stamina needed to constantly run around and take the bumps, it freaking takes a toll on the body. i went through a phase where i thought about becoming a wrestler.. hahaha, the training for that was almost as exhausting as bootcamp for the marine corps.
I give all the wrestlers props even though its fake... fugg that, who am i to complain, they get a multi million dollar contract to perform on a soap opera for guys... im just jealous that i didnt get that kind of deal. hahahahaha

like people who throw a game for money.... boxers who take a dive... a lot of sports are staged. in this day and age.. anything and everything can be named as a sport... i used to think nascar wasnt a sport (not that i like nascar) but if drifting is a sport, so is nascar... hell, if gold is a sport, air hockey should be one too.

hahaha.. espn doesnt even really air much of tkd, target shooting.... (cept maybe during the olympics). either way, those are both still considered sport... when it comes down to it, it can go either way. just depends if you are a fan or not. die hard fans will always say its a sport, non fans will say its gay men getting a chance to feel each other up.. hahaha. its a never ending arguement.
