B&M short shifter....

Hopefully this will perpare anyone getting ready to install the b&m short shifter and help pervent issues so you dont waste 250 bucks.
I have been working on cars for a long time but for the first time got my ass kicked by a product. I have not heard anyone else having a issue installing this shifter so im sure its my own fault.

Sorry to hear bout your problem, but you seem to be the only person i've heard who the problem with the install. easiest way to change manual tranny fluid is to leave the shifter off (since it's already off) drain the tranny fluid, plug it back up, and pour 2.5 quarts through the shifter. Might as well change it, since you've done the majority of the work.  BTW, an easy way to get at the bolts up top is to drill two holes up at the top to get to the bolts using a socket extension. IMO, much easier to get at than getting under the car. just cover up the holes with dynamat after you're done.
