there are 4 snap on things (2 on each side ) just get your hand under and press each one and pull each one out if you want to take the plastic trim out too wich the boot is connected to. just dont force anythin you should be fine

dang man. i'm going to be nice......take your hand (yeah look at your hand have a little talk with it explaining to it not to fuck up). place on a corner and just pull, make sure you get the 2 where the console bends. do to each side...and it will just pop off. next you take a screwdriver (this is where you grab the screwdriver) and take off the screws holding the shift boot. change it out. screw back in the screws you took out. then you just pop the console back in. then you can pat yourself on the back if you want.

There's 4 things securing it into place. I'm guessing it was snap tabs from the factory, but my car had screws in it. Remove the shift knob and you can figured out the rest on your own.

Grab inside the boot area, pull straight up with a short quick yank. Then grab the top section and pull back.
That's a fairly safe method to prevent cracking the plastic and without using flathead screwdrivers that can scratch things up.

Grab the sides of the radio trim and pull it off.

There are four bolts you need to take off the shift boot trim with a phillipshead screwdriver. When you put the new shift boot over the shift boot trim, make sure you put the shift boot trim back on the same way you took it off and don't flip it or anything.

Follow the, already, given instructions on top of unscrewing the shift knob.
