GReddy,

Why do people say your Header cracks after a few weeks? I was told it cracks because there is no "Flex pipe." I was told if you weld one on it will fix the cracking problem. I also heard there was a new design coming out, this True? When will the Turbo Kit be annouced?

Thanks

*** of course i juss put GReddy for the hell of it...and i asked about the new design..juss go i can get a straight answer..but heres the reply on why the GReddy header cracks..for ppl who didnt know

Unfortunately we did run into a bit of a problem with the earlier design of 240SX header.  The header is made from quality materials and has quality weld, but because the USA spec 240SX does not have a flex joint in its exhaust system it has a tendency to be very hard on the exhaust manifold. Adding a flex joint should correct this problem, which is why we are currently developing a new system utilizing a flex joint.

We are still currently working on the 240SX Turbo kit.  However we do not have any specific data to release at this time (no boost levels, horsepower, or pricing yet).  We hope to have the kit available in mid to late 2002.  What we can tell you is the kit will be a good bolt
on street kit, that has a lot of room for upgrading.  It will probably include new stainless cast manifold, downpipe adapter, some some sort of TD06 turbo, and a pre programmed fuel enrichment unit, and all the necessary pipes and hardware, but again this is all preliminary and it may change.  Please keep in touch with your favorite Authorized Greddy dealer for more updates. http://greddy.com/dealers/

cant wait till the new GReddy come out.. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Well considering it's the 8th month (out of 12) of the year, I'd say we're past mid year and getting damn close to late 2002. &nbsp;Hrmmmm....

Since when? I've never seen a flex joint on ANY S-chassis (Japan-spec or otherwise). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they're smoking something.

I have never seen a TURBO car in japan that didn't have one. Even if you go bigger turbine you can get a shop to make a flex type pipe for the wastegate.
