i searched.
the sound lasts about 1 second and occurs right when the engine completely shuts down.
my best attempt at describing the sound is a sucking noise combined with a cracking (frying fried chicken) sound.
or the sound rice crispies make when they meet with milk in a bowl.
i have no video clip for it.
thanks.

Where is it coming from?
sound seems to be coming from the head of the motor.
(sorry, left that out)
it's timing chain slap. i have it on my motor, and i've heard the same exact thing on a few random FRESH motors too. sometimes i hear it, sometimes i don't. Although i dont hear it on my brother's sr.

When you turn it off, pop the oil filler and see if you have smoke. If you do, only thing I can think of is that its the sound of oil cooking. Scenario that popped in my head is that it could be one of the oil squirters for the cams is clogged. Which means you could also be grinding down one of the cams since its not getting enough oil and making it hot enough to sizzle whatever oil on it or around it.
