Hey guys....I must say I'm almost embarrassed to ask this, but Im having trouble getting my s14 beater to start.
The starter engages and will crank the motor but wont turn over, so I naturally checked for spark and fuel. I verified spark and then began to check for fuel. I keyed up the ignition, heard the fuel pump kick on as usual, but still no starting. I decided to remove the fuel return line after the FPR to see if gas was making it through...the line is bone dry. Correct me if Im wrong, but with the ignition powered on, even with no starting, fuel should flow out of the FPR into the return line right?
I found this peculiar and decided to check for gas at the feed line. I opened it up and definately have gas feeding into the rail @ good pressure (I know because it shot me in the face lol). So obviously fuel is making it into the rail to sme degree and I guess not making it through the reg. I switch the fuel lines just to see if I could get any fuel flow and nothin'. Any ideas on what might be going on here? I know this is the source of my starting issue, just dont know how or whats going wrong at the rail.
I am certain I have the fuel system hooked up in the proper order as well...fuel feed line --> fuel filter --> rail inlet --> injectors --> FPR --> return line is how it is configured which is 100% right
hmmmmm, any ideas for me??
