View Full Version : NA 300zx brakes and hub assembly
My freind is parting out his 91 300zx NA and he will sell me the rims, brakes and hub assemblys dirt cheap. I need the hub becuase my s14 is four lug. Anyways are the brakes a good upgrade and will the hubs fit on my 96 S14? Thanks guys...

The brakes are an awesome upgrade, but you might lock up your brakes if your tires are shitty. The rear hubs will fit, not sure about the front hubs.

yes. IIRC the NA fronts will fit, its just that the TT are better. u only want the NA for the rear anyway, not TT. remember, u still need S14 SE 5-lug vertical links/uprights for the front, the 4-lug r different! i'd say go for it if its cheap!
So you don't change the rear brakes at all? Do they make aftermarket vertical links/uprights or would I have to buy them from the dealer? If anyone can tell me anymore about transplanting the hubs I would be very appreciative. Is there a significant difference between the NA brakes and TT brakes? Thanks

no aftermarket vert links, dealer is aprox $125+ per side, order "with ABS" cuz they dont differentiate as the SE. u can probably find SE used links at junk yard.....just dont pay too much!
**this is an update to info as i dug further.....IIRC front '91-'92 TT r aluminum, all front NA and '92-'96 TT r cast iron. aluminum is simply lighter, but rare!
i'm gonna research REAR more cuz book says ALL rear 300zx '91-'96 calipers r the same.....IIRC i'm told use NA not TT....??? doesnt jive.
BTW all front rotors & pads the r same, and all rear rotors & pads r the same according to book.
will post back with updates!
Thanks a lot man you have pointed me in a good direction so far.
