Well after meeting up with a couple of guys in VA, we decided to go up to this place in MD where alot of people chill......not so bad.

Anyways it starts to rain a bit and everyone starts to live. So as I'm pulling away from the parking lot and making a left turn to the crosswalk my car starts to spin. Not like my tires are spinning and I not going anywhere spin.....I mean if I stepped on the gas anymore I would have done a 180 spin. I was like "WTF?" I wasn't trying to showoff are anything, and this is the first time my car really spun out of control (well I did manage to control it). What's even worse is while I'm at the stop light and the light changes I start to give it some gas and as I'm moving my tires start spinning and I'm going well under 20mph trying to switch lanes because I'm not trying to spin out in the middle of the street. I finally get some traction as I drive away, but still I never had this happen to me before.

Do you guys think I need a L.S.D. ?, because my tires are in good shape and I wasn't using a heavy foot.

...LSD? Heck no... you need better tires; in particular, tires with good (better) wet traction!!

I agree. I think a lot of cars on the road dont have LSD, yet they grip the road pretty fine during the rain. I dont have LSD in my S14, and I still grip the road pretty well during rainy season. Maybe your tires are too hard or something... maybe your tire pressure is outta wack too. maybe...

Anybody had Kuhmo's on there 240? I had them for a while and they were horrible in the wet. Anybody know how the Yokohama's do in wet.

Really? So far my 712's have been awesome in the rain. I couldn't get any wheelspin in heavy rain, though I could have if i really wanted too. Last night driving home my old dunlop tires were spinning in the middle of second gear on a wet road. Tires are critical.

Keep in mind that this was some of the first rain we've had in a month or so. Over that time, the roads get VERY oily in the center. When the rains finally come, it washes that oil into the tire groove areas - making it waaaay slicker than roads after a normal rain. It's not you - you just have to be a little more careful.

I learned this when I used to live in Phoenix - every time it would rain, the roads would be treacherous after XX number of dry days.
