thats stupid there was a hulk movie that came out like 2 days ago
Let see, new Hulk movie:
Written by the guy that did Elektra
Directed by the guy that did the transporter movies and unleashed
Prediction: Another dumb special effects showcase strung together by a super thin plot.
I dunno, I thought the 2003 movie was ok. At least they tried to do something with the character. Ed Norton is a good choice for Banner. He can do the crazy eye real well, like in fight club..........

It might be a touch better than the previous attempt, but I still don't think its going to be that tasteful. Hulk is just a hard character to recreate for the silver screen. His massiveness, his destructive force, etc
But it would be cool to see some intelligent Hulk

I know its gonna rock hard.
Why?
Darker storyline.
Edward Norton.
Its been stated time and time again that the previous hulk movie starring Eric bana is chickenshit and isn't canon to the series, and will be disregarded to hell.
IIRC, this movie picks up with tryin to find a cure, fighting off Col. Thunder/Betsy's Dad, and i THINK abomination. And i think the HulkBuster Suit will debut.

Comic-con concept.

leaked rendering.
Hulk's likely to be greyish-green, a transitional change from his Stupider-Than-Thou emerald to the more intelligent and self-aware Grey.
A rumor has it that a second Incredible Hulk is in the works.

If it's a darker storyline and a more serious movie overall (i.e. Batman Begins versus the two Batman movies before it), this could be good. The Eric Bana movie was SO terrible; as long as this one has absolutely nothing to do with it whatsoever, I'd give it a shot.

It just hit me that they're starting brand new like the first movie never happened... They (and by "they," I mean people who make movies) NEVER do that without waiting 30 years to do so. The last one was just 2003. Weird.
I heard this one will have some tie-ins (Nick Fury, Tony Starks) alluding to an Avengers movie sometime in the not too distant future as well

Movie blew me away! I did not have high hopes for it (due to the first one and never being a big Hulk fan) but I was so wrong.
I would say it's near, if not as good, as Iron Man.
CG looked really good. Captain America reference, Tony Stark appearance, Avengers reference, Liv Tyler side ass shot, bunch of stuff getting blow the fuck up, fuckin win.

Im gonna go see this movie tonight im so pumped. And for all you people who keep comparing this hulk to the last one, theres one huge differences this Hulk movie marvel has TOTAL control of thats why you see RDJ aka ironman in the movie and the story will be alot better as well. Since marvel now has there own movie production line they can merge the different Marvel characters into the movies. So you know stan lee hass some crazy shit up his sleeve.

This is true. that's why you didn't see Norton promote the movie on anything.
I loved it actually. It was EXACTLY what it should have been. I think it was well done.
I'm also one of the few that liked the last Hulk...until I seen this one. This one made me think, "WTF were they thinking with the plot of the last movie". It was so off the wall now that I think about it.

That's what I was thinking, but didn't he ask if he had a "problem"? Which made it sound like he wanted to kill him.
2Slow40
06-16-2008, 12:45 PM
I think Thunderbolt (the general) realized the Hulk was good at heart (judging by the look on his face and shizz after the final battle) and he had scared him off.
So "the problem" is getting Banner back and convencing him to work with SHIELD and not having Banner constantly running from them and not trusting them.
Amazing movie. Disappointed that there was no surprise ending though.. the whole theatre boo'ed at that.
I'm glad there wasn't one, I didn't even wait. After Tony Stark showed up at the end I figured that was.
Surprise endings aren't really surprising if they keep doing it in every Marvel movie.
It just ends up being like "Shit now I know I gotta wait another 5 minutes for the credits to be over so I can watch this extra scene." Kinda annoying after a while.
Gotta give the surprise endings a rest for a movie or two.

i'm hoping The Leader won't be appearing in The Incredible Hulk 2, but rather in The Avengers movie as one of, hopefully, many villains! that'd be the only way to make The Avengers movie 10 fold better than these individual story lines.
The Avengers line-up thus far: Iron Man, War Machine, & The Hulk..
Wolverine, Captain America, Thor? i can only hope they make individual story lines for these three..

This sounds sweet!
Die-hard fans may know that Bruce Banner himself, Edward Norton, played a big role in reworking the film's script and editing the final cut released to theatres. Despite a few semi-public pissing matches between Norton and director Leterrier, the two seemed relatively pleased with the latest version, but both have hinted at a longer – potentially fifty minute longer – cut of the film including a number of additional scenes. One of which, if the rumors are true, just may have introduced Captain America.
