Obiously your selling methods isn't getting you the results that you want. Try craigslist, ebay, local paper, autotrader, more forums, etc etc. Might want to also consider lowering the price if you want to sell it quicker.

google
Also, by looking at the threads you started... Post Pictures, information about the car (i.e. mileage, recent maintenance, any leaking or weird noises, any engine or body modification and who did them), and post a little more because people tend to have a hard time buying from people who have like 1-5 posts and are like 'BY MY CAR!' ThatGuy closed both of your old threads because you distinctly did not read any of the 'rules' and from what it appears, you didn't even make an effort to - the threads are almost identical.

^^^ agreed. I know that Craigslist has a lot of traffic on there for 240sx.
Depending on what you mean by you putting in about $4500 into the car. The mods that you put in has to be something of quality and not junk. Also when you buy parts and put it on your car, the products themselves depreciate in value so that you don't get that money back. You many get like half of it back and that's what happens when you mod your vehicle. So you might want to lower your price and that should speed things along.

I looked at the post that you put up here on Zilvia trying to sell your car. And I can almost guarantee that the reason you are having trouble selling the car is the way you write up your for sale ads. A small paragraph with with a price and no mod list or pictures is not going to get your car sold on the internet. Most people wont even consider looking at a for sale thread or post that has no pictures of what is being sold.
Guess what though! There is any easy fix to this problem! Structure your for sale thread like this:
Car for sale: (your car)
VIN Number: (VIN3 from your car)
Name: (your first name or full name if you like)
Contact Info: E-mail: (one that you check pretty often)
Phone Number: (If you want but not a must)
Or you can PM me on here
Mods List:
(List all related parts and modifications done to your car)
History:
( A brief description of how where and when you bought the car, how it runs, any defects or blemishes, and a reason why you are getting rid of it.)
Price:
(what you are asking for the car and if offers are accepted)
Pictures:
(Again pictures are a must, especially when selling a car. If you dont know how to post pics, here is a quick explanation. Create a free account at an image hosting website, like www.imagestation.com or similar site and upload your photos there. The copy and paste the web address for each photo into your post by clicking the icon at the top of the window when you are making a post and paste the web address in there. Click Ok and you should have pics in your post just that easy! I know it is a bit of work but if you want to sell the car it will be worth it. Also posting pictures is a way to justify your asking price. )
If you use a layout like this (not particularly this one, but something similar or feel free to cut and paste this one) Im positive you will receive at least 5x more responses to your post.
Good luck with the Sale and I hope this helps!! :hsdance:

You're posting in the right places, but chances are your price is just too high.
Being as how you can find zenki s14's for cheaper, with the more diseriable 5-speed.
Maybe if you posted a good pic of your car and what mods it has if any, we could tell you why it isn't selling.

I have also seen people take pictures of dirty cars. I just don't get it. It is a reflection of how the owner takes care of the car. Give it a nice scrub down and take some quality pictures.

^^^ True that.
First impressions are everything. Your pics need to be legit because that's the only thing most people based their impressions on.

i would assume the for sale section.... but for real, take the advice of some of the people above and consider the fact that even though it's a 240, it's till a 10 year old car and it doesn't matter how much you have in it, cars aren't investments unless you are selling that shit at barrett jackson
