well I am definitely going to check them out for my Silver blue car. I already have the hood situation taken care of on my RB car. Though ya they are located here in socal so you can check them out firsthand.

Hello ,IMHO, that site seems too good to be true,no contact phone #,no mailing adress, unless I missed it but I clicked on the contact ,only had email instructions???. To me it seems like one of those, you send me $$$ & get nothing in return. I could be completely off base, but G/L on your purchase.

I've bought from them before, Bill (owner or manager of some sort) seems like a nice guy. Replied to my emails same day.

Catch phrases to avoid on parts like hoods:
Carbon Fiber Styre
Carbon Fiber Type
Carbon Style
Carbon Type
Exciting Carbon Fiber Styre
They introduced a black tinted fiber glass last summer to meet the carbon fiber shortages. So that will usually be the $200 hoods.

its about wieght savings, im not really concerned about it not being JDM or quality, i just want it to be light and functional.

any other good deals on hoods in this thread would be cool though

i contacted these guys for dealer info with the aerocatch hood pins and recieved a reply very quick. According to their site they manufacture their hoods; which would account for lower pricing.

Ijust got an email back from them...

Stephen,

We don;t normally allow that as we do not have a store front, but I can possibly arrange for you uto pick it up, but I have to have someone go to the factory that can release it to you. The charge for that is $40 and the pcikup time/date must be worked out ahead of time when we finish the hood for you. Payment must be ahead of time, as we make all hoods to order.

You either drop off cash in burbank to me directly, or I can send you a Paypal invoice, and you can pay via paypal or credit card.

Just let me know.

regards,
-Bill

40 fucking dollars? and I thought its all "IN-HOUSE"

wtf

This changes my thought about them. They are trying to take the Newegg approach but I bet they are small scale.

I'm confused, I couldn't find anywhere were they tried to be misleading.
They have (according to their website) CF AND Fiberglass hoods.
$265 does not seem unreasonably low to me for a fiberglass hood... CF? yeah, I'd call BS on that, but they seem very straight forward about their description. I didn't see anything implying it was CF; either for looks or construction. Did I miss something?
I'd like to know how many layers of fiber and how thick, but if you're in a racing class where you just have to have something covering your engine bay, this sounds like the ticket...
On the other hand, if your'e looking for el cheapo bling to show off at the "HIN" event in the mickey D's parking lot with the local ricers, maybe look elsewhere... wait... on the other-other hand, maybe not! LOL!

But heres the mystical magical amazing spectacular point.

If its made in house, then why do i have to drive to wharehouse that is not their "office/building" to pay some other dude an extra fucking 40 dollars to watch him hand me the hood?

bullshit

when I had my s13 silvia carbon fiber hood custom made by sunny styling locally it was only $300 so the price isn't low.
I don't think he ment "in house" as they make it, it's made by a local bodyshop so he would have to charge you $40 to pick it up.
steve, just get the TC hood like Dousan did, it's light and cheap.
just make sure you use hood pin to latch it down.

The Carbon Fiber hoods are $320. They don't have a pic of the fiberglass and are showing the CF one.

Deft Racing is a reputable shop for 3si.org, 3000gt board. They get a lot of rep on 3si.org.
