looks like a greddy lip
they are nice pieces, but the overall look is a little goofy without skirts to match.

That's a Greddy, which is NOT carbon. The picture and the amount of wax he applied to it just gives it that illusion.

Post pics when it shatters into a million pieces when you're on your way to go hardpark.
Frp or urithane. Done.

oem zenki looks the best
greddy looks good with skirts... or oem kouki sides and rear
carbon lip makes no sence... if you want to save weight, dont put one on

imo it looks like ass with kouki skirts. the lip is like 1 or 2 inches lower than the rest of the aero.

carbonfiber lip trend came mostly from honda,
it's for people who want no aero just add a lip.
sorry, but I just can't stand having a big front end and no side or rear to even up the flow.
but the worst ones are people who put bodykit on and run on stock wheels, with the kit not painted or a widebody kit with 7 inch wheels.

I actually found a really cool splitter on ebay that works with the 240sx....Its actually really cool...The splitter has the rods that attach to the bumper cover..looks super racey...
here is a pic of one installed on a wrx

just picture it under the factory bumper bottom..it will have a clean solid flow to it..maybe?
and its only like $160.00

I think it looks good, but by the time you get that, OEM JDM sides, and maybe rear valaces your up to the price of a full kit.
so who knows.

When you put a lip on the kouki the bumper actually gets even with the rest of the body. My car looks stupid right now because the front end is higher than anything else.

A front lip on a usdm kouki bumper is like a band-aid on a bullet wound.

lose the usdm front and help correct reality by erasing it from humanity's collective memory

I don't need to make my car JDM tyte for anything. Find me a perfect bumper for under $200 and we'll talk. Until then it'll look like a 240, not a silvia

you realize that's the same generic "r33" style bumper that everyone 5 years ago was putting on their S14's...with a fiberglass lower half that's been covered with a thin layer of "Carbon fiber"
dude, get over the carbon fiber schtick, help save the environment by burning the usdm front bumper please....

05-27-2007, 09:40 PM
carbon fiber just for looks and no lightweight properties is retarded....why does it have to be carbon fiber? just get a urethane lip or something, i think that if you actually managed to get a "carbon fiber" lip youd find that it would just get chipped and scratched to shit by rocks and road debris just from driving around if not just break altogether
Im all for doing something original to your car....thing is, if youve seen it before....its not original anymore
