around how much money would it take it get a stock s14 to run 12's on street tires?

here is the setup i am thinking about building.

1995-1996 s14

SR20DET redtop
3" DP
 straight pipe
 catback
FMIC
S15 ball bearing turbo
lightened flywheel
act street/strip clutch
550 injectors
upgraded ECU? (not sure but if i need to upgrade i would go with an Apexi PFC

do you guy think this setup will get me into the 12's? i am new to the 240 scene and any imput would be helpful.
thanks

also how much HP/torque can the sr tranny hold? also if this setup cannot get me into the 12's what other mods do you guys suggest me getting? with 300-330 rwhp and a good driver what do you think my 1/4 miles times would be?

misnomer

the KA/SR/VG tranny can hold a lot of torque and power....it mostly depends on how you drive. if you bang out shifts too hard, you can break it. and you WILL need good fuel control with this setup. don't go cheap with the S-AFC...get a tuned ECU and keep it reliable.

you can get into the 12's pretty easily with the setup you mention. for 1/4 mile/hp calculators, look here:

i ran 11.8 with 400hp in my ka-t

go with a ka-t

You should be in the 12's easily with an LSD, maybe even be in the 12's as is if you raise your boost high enough. Yeah, you're missing a boost controller in that setup - although the FC would do fine. But why go for an FC if 12's is your goal? You don't need it, and it's expensive. If you want stand-alone, go hardcore and get good standalone, and if you don't, then go for something cheaper like a piggyback.
