My experience with chiltons/helms/other has laft me with this...They all pail in comparison to the FSM. What is an FSM you say? Its the "red repair book for an older 240SX" If you are telling the morons at the rediculously undereducated reapir department at the nissan dealer in hillsboro, oregon. Everywhere else, they are referred to as FSM's or Field Sevice Manuals. One will run you about 90 bucks, but they are worth it if you plan on keeping your carfor a long time.

My FSM was $78 shipped direct from Dyment.  Their phone number can be found in the owners manual (sorry, I don't know it off hand and don't recall them having a website).

What year do you have? My dealer said that is the cost the distributor gives them.

I'm rockin' the 93 style.  I don't think there's any substantial difference so long as you get a 91-93 model year book.  You could check ebay or the FS forums as well.

a wierd side note: &nbsp;the 89 FSM that i have has a white cover and is MUCH thicker than the 93 one that Steve has. &nbsp;<shrug> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/eh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':eh:'>

That's cause you left it outside and the pages swelled!!!!

You're right though, they are sort of different.

I also have the thick white cover one for my 89, gotit on ebay for like $80 with shipping. &nbsp;I also got a Chilton total car care one for like $25. And you get what you pay for.
