In My 91 240, I only needed one pwer lock for the driver's side because apparently the passenger side already has an automatic lock in it. You can tell if you lock the driver's side and the passenger door will lock as well. Im from victoria BC Canada and i went to a store that sells stereo and alarm equipment.
i think that would be your best bet

you need a door lock motor, which youll probably find at a stero shop. I have mine hooked up to my alarm system but im not sure if thats what you want. If it isnt, im not sure what else you need besides the motor. hope this helps a little bit

"I have mine hooked up to my alarm system but im not sure if thats what you want. "
not exactly. what im looking for is it to be controlled by a switch on the side of the door, like most power locks. Im not sure the parts ill need to achieve this, and whether the hole for the switch exists in the 90 doors, or whether they have different interior panels for 90 power/manual locks. This is how i envisioned it working:
Both the manual and power locks use the same doors, except where hte switch would be for the power locks, on my car with manual locks, the hole would be filled. Like a little plastic plug. So id buy the switch, and whatever internals are needed to connect it withint he doors. I want t know if thats how it works, and if so, what devices i need, and where i can get them. Thanks.
btw- i dont ahve the car in my possession so i cant verify the plug thing, ill have it by monday i think.
