Quick Alignment Question

I'm getting new and bigger/wider wheels in about a week or 2. Would it matter if i got my car aligned with stockies rather than the new wheels? I just dont trust any shop with brand new wheels.

I would think it would, different tires, different heights, different tire wear, different air pressures, etc... Its going to be minor differences but it could.

Make sure you lower your car the desired height first. Test fit the new wheels on then get it alligned.

Yeah, once your suspension is set, it's set...the wheels aren't gonna change jack shit.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong but as far as I know, it won't. Maybe to a nominal degree but nothing noteworthy.

Since you're gonna upgrade to a wider tire/wheel, I would test fit them first before you have the car aligned. If your wheel were to rub and require you to change height or camber, then you'd have to re-align it.

I have to tell people that everyday at work..."taking your wheels off and putting them back on will not change your alignment, or will it make your car pull or push out of no where...I assure u."

However in this case you would want to test fit them first and make any/all adjustments then. Different/more weight and air pressure can make VERY slight changes. Not enough to notice at this level though.

I would not bring my car to an alignment shop with the rims on.

Find one that will pay for the rims if they damage it. Nobody around here would even think of it

No difference at all.

Second, alignment shops have never scratched ANY of my wheels. Only tire installs risk that.
