Car photography is difficult... but your pictures came out pretty well with your APS camera. What make/model do you have?

My biggest problem is finding an interesting background... I see you were trying to find good staging places. Have you tried any close up shots... I've found you can get some interesting effects if you focus on the details and shoot when the light is the most interesting (morning/evening). It doesn't have to be Macro photography (really really close)... just focus in on say... your mazda logo at sunset. Frame the shot so that you can see a little bit of the car and be able to tell what it is, but that it's obvious your not focusing on showing the whole car. It takes some practice, but with trial and error you can come away with some unique and pretty cool shots.

Nice shots but I prefer MX-6s with the OEM spoiler, plus the scratches on the side don't help that muhc, use some photoshop to fix that up. It would be better to see a 240 there.

Just a thought of mine; if you're going to crop and cut and touch up, you may as well make a completely photoshopped image. In my school of thought (pertaining to photography) - you either leave it completely (or 'most near) unadultered, or you jump all the way into the digital side. I take it you opted for the former (even though the 'panoramic' is just a cropped photo) and I suppose they came out pretty well.
I don't know if I'd call it "professional" or not though.

I would have done the reverse and made the background and the wheels blurry so the car looks like it's driving fast and the camera was pacing the car, rather than set on a tripod while it drove by.

Quick 2 minute request for 240 2nr, didnt have the time to do the background in the windows, but you get the point.

I like it.

Photoshop is fun. Takes too long to load off the network at work or I would have done it myself.

My buddy has a '93 MX-6 with the V6. He has some sort of Shogun bodykit on it and Supra taillights. Looks sharp.

If you wanna do professional photography, I highly recommend using an SLR that lets you control the aperture and shutter speed. Get one that lets you choose aperture priority or shutter priority (almost all of them have those features).

Some general tips:
- Use wide aperture to lessen the depth of field and have only the subject in focus.
- Use a lower shutter speed and have the lense follow the car while taking the pic to get that motion effect.
- Try taking the pics from any angle other than standing on the ground. That's the angle people usually see so it's uninteresting.
- Don't get your film developed at the cheapest place. The color won't be as good.

I liked the pics but there was a damn mx-6 in the way of both the pictures. Next time try to make sure that nothing gets in front of the subject that you are photographing j/k Not too bad and the photochops were pretty damn good also
