Alright guys its posted on our site. www.driftbattle.org
For the lazy.
Autocross action was a big hit on Sunday, 15 April. AMP’s pit-paddock area was filled with 62 cars entered for the timed lap, speed and car control competition. Points were issued for car control skills and only those with the fastest time laps would be in contention for the finals. The real trick in the timed lap segment of the course was not to hit a pylon (cone). Doing so lost 1-second of lap time for every pylon hit. Quite a few cars had great car control scores but lost overall points because of pylon errors.
With only one car on the track at a time, one would have expected the action to be slow… but with cars manuevering through 16 corners in under 45 seconds, the action was faced-paced and a real crowd pleaser.
A great showing of autocross fans - both in the pits and in the grandstands - enjoyed a lot of bright sunshine and 70-degree weather, as well as some great car control competition. AMP congratulates David Gaspar on a great win, with Darius Ghassemian (2nd), Matt Field (3rd), and Jay Lapid (4th) filling the podium Sunday afternoon.
