I replaced my starter a week ago or so, and i noticed that there is a red hose with a metal end that appears to be a powersteering line. I do not know where this hose goes and i was wondering if anyone knew where it plugs in because I have no idea and i'm leaking power steering fluid everywhere!!!
thanks,
a concerned fellow 240man

See if it goes to your steering rack. There should be 2 hardlines going into the side of the steering rack.

Sounds like the tranny vent tube/line...!?

Yeah, sounds like the vent tube if you were replacing the starter. Take your fill bolt out of your tranny to see if you are overfilling it.

yah I was thinking vent tube too, but he said he was leaking PS fluid everywhere.... That is assuming that he knows what PS fluid looks like...

If it's leaking PS fluid he has a serious problem anyway, Nissan PS systems are designed to use ATF, nothing else.

A little bit off topic but does this vent tube need to be pulled when pulling off the transmission?

It's attached to the transmission, there's no need to remove it.
