Its an AUTO, but fairly clean! hes asking $2400 for it but im sure we can offer lower, im planning on doing an SR swap...
should i do the swap on a DOHC and wait, or just **** it and do it on this baby..
this is what the owner posted on it

it looks fairly clean, the auto to manual swap is not that hard, if it's rust free you're golden. I'd say go for it. The price is always negotiable, bring cash and you can probably talk them down a little more.

not a real big fan of the color, but coupes are hard to find in mint condition now. I'd say if you think its worth your money, go for it.

Yeah the dash looks tan/brown... That sucks, but if you're gonna turn it into a track whore it shouldn't matter.

yeah, at first i thought it was gray, but yeah it does look brown, hmm oh well, yeah im planning on turning it into a drifting machine, i heard sr20 swaps with cars 89-90 are kinna hard due to SOHC.

Looks like a good deal. offer him 1800, maybe he will counter with 2000-2100
you could end up with the car and money for the de for 2400
yeah, i think its a good deal 92,000 miles is really low, and on top of that its auto, but test drive it and tell us how it goes

^^^ yes, it's a good deal for that kind of mileage. Take it, but in my opion, wait on the sr.

Well I wouldn't keep the SOHC. So if you're gonna have a KA in there, get the DOHC or go with your original plan and get the SR.

Looks clean to me. Talk him down to an even 2K or so and go for it.
And why does everyone hate the tan interior so much? I like my tan interior. lol... looks way better, and is in better shape, then most black interiors I see IMHO. Especially those that were not black from the factory and look like a puzzle of different faded panels from 10 different donor cars. haha

haha yeah,
well, alright i call him today, he was supposed to be here this weekend and he said he was to busy to be here this weekend! so he said next friday!! im going crazy!!!
but yeah i'll try those methods guys offering lower, thanks guys
i'll tell you how the test drive goes :)
i might even reach 0-60 is 5 seconds :)
Looks just like the one my friend picked up for $700 locally a couple weeks ago. His has the most incredible interior I've ever seen for a car that old. The trick is to find someone who just thinks of it as an old car. Those are the people that you can convince that their car isn't worth jack.

imo, its overpriced.

haha yeah, i had alot of people say its over priced... hmm i guess it is but everyone here trying to sell it KNOWS that it is a good drift car so they try to sell it for $3000+ its ridiculous, so $2400 is prolly best ive seen so far!
Im starting to have second thoughts about an sr swap, im only 16 with no experience, but have been reading on it, overwhelmed, it seems like a difficult task, but i would enjoy it at the same time, only thing that i would struggle with is the wiring you have to do, and also identifying what need to be unplugged and what doesn't..

you should buy the car, its clean, make it manual, add an lsd and dont swap the motor yet ( unless you go DE) learn to control and feel the car stock before you go for hp!

I say good deal, but do a 5 speed conversion yourself, find a buddy who will help you, or take it to a shop that'll do it for a fair price and good work. Then drive it till it breaks on you and then go for the SR. It looks pretty nice and clean.

damn 92,000 miles, pretty low
i wish mine was that much
i say juss do a auto to manual swap
upgrade/fix some stuff (suspension, brakes, w/e)
and die out the ka24 (might as well use it)
then sr20

Yeah you should get it. Lower mileage 240's are hard to come by nowadays. Keep the KA in there. No need to waste a perfectly good, low mileage motor. Just do the 5 spd swap and beat it up! Just keep these in mind:
- Regular scheduled maintenances and tune-ups first!
- then tires/brakes/suspension
- bolt-ons
